On June 3, 2026, Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov and Mayor of Denver (Colorado) Mike Johnston signed an MOU establishing a "Friendship Cities"  partnership. Consul General Vitalii Moshkivskyi also attended the ceremony.

This marks the first international agreement of this kind that Denver has entered into in the last ten years. The memorandum, among other things, outlines the development of economic, cultural, and educational ties, as well as the implementation of joint community projects.

We express our gratitude to the teams of both city administrations, Denver Sister Cities International, the NGO Ukrainians of Colorado, and to Mark Dillen personally, who served as the true drivers of this project and were instrumental in making this agreement a reality.
